Naini Lake: This is the main attraction of the town and is one of the nine other lakes in the town. Especially pretty is the reflection of the entire city and the surrounding hills. Interesting activities that can be undertaken are boating and yatching as well as a pony ride. The walkway lining the lake has a number of food stalls and shopping stores.

Bhimtal: Another prominent lake in Nainital, this is relatively larger. An island in the middle of the lake has a restaurant, which is highly visited by locals and tourists.

Sattal: Made of seven interconnected lakes, this is flanked by tall oak trees.

Aerial Ropeway: This popular attraction connects main Nainital city to the Snow View point.

Snow View Point: Visit this point to catch splendid views of the gleaming snow-peaked Himalayas. The spot can be reached by the ropeway or even by road and is a popular picnic spot.

Naina Peak or China Peak: This is the highest peak in town and provides panoramic views of the entire city as well as the snow clad Himalayas.

Church of St John in the Wilderness: Believed to be over a century old, this curch is known for the old cemetery that it houses in its gardens.

Tiffin Top & Dorothy’s Seat: Tiffin Top is a terraced hill top, which is famous for the views of the surrounding country side. Dorothy’s Seat is actually a stone seat built here in memory of an English artist, Dorothy Kellet.

Hanumangarhi: This is a temple complex dedicated to Lord Hanuman and also houses temples dedicated to Rama and Shiva. Owing to the height, the spot offers splendid views of the sunset.

Governor’s House: Also called Raj Bhawan, this is a Victorian-style structure, which includesa mansion, gardens, a pool and a golf link. Prior permission is required to visit this place.
