Festive Celebrations

One of the most famous festivals celebrated in Coonoor is the Fruit and Vegetable Festival, held annually at the Sim's Park in May. A part of the Summer Festival it attracts people from all over the county and outside as well. There are a number of cultural shows and performances held along with an impressive display of some of the finest fruits and vegetables. Tea and Tourism Festival is another important festival of Coonoor held in January. Attracting tea connoisseurs from all over the world, the festival not only promotes the wide variety of Tea found in Coonoor but the culture and heritage of the town.
