Definitely no dearth of eating options here. The roadside vendors are extremely popular and you'd almost always find a large crowd of people feasting on samosas, kachoris and chaat. The dharamsalas and ashrams here provide simple vegetarian fare. If you'd rather have a wholesome meal, head out to Pacific Restaurant that serves quite an interesting range of continental cuisine. More upmarket is the New Jade Restaurant and Tandoor, which serve a variety of multi-cuisine items. Especially worth trying is the rogan josh and chicken with mushrooms.

For a vegetarian fare Purohit Restaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike. A clean and pleasant looking place it serves a wide variety of North Indian vegetarian cuisine at reasonable rates. Baradari a traditional Indian restaurant at Hotel Kanha Shyam offers superb cuisine and wonderful atmosphere. Also popular for its snacks are Kamadhenu Fast Foods Restaurant and the Indian Coffee House. Friends Café, just off MG Road, is a good bet for pizzas, burgers, and milk shakes. For those craving something sweet should head out to Lucky Sweets, known for its mouth-watering Bengali sweets like Khajoori Gur wali Sandes, Sulaki Mithai Shop in Bahadurganj is another great place to pick up a box of sweets to take back home. El Chico Espresso Snack Bar, located on M.G. Road is an excellent place to hang out and have that evening cup of coffee.
