Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit Kangra Valley is between December to February to experience firsthand the beauty of freshly fallen snow. But if you want to trek the hilly terrain, then the months from March to June are your best bet.

Clothing: Since the region is located in the Himalayas, it would be prudent to carry a lot of warm, thermal clothing because it is sure to get chilly. Carry at least two pairs of thermal socks, gloves and ear muffs. A heavy jacket and several woollen clothes are a must.

Moving around: The most scenic way to explore this mountainous region is by the Kangra Valley Railway. Other than that, heavy vehicles like SUVs, vans and jeeps are the best way to go about it.
