Another summer retreat left behind by the British, Dalhousie was named after the then Governor-General of India, Lord Dalhousie. This quaint hill station in snowy Himachal Pradesh is a little slice of heaven for honeymooners and everyone who wants some fresh air and a break from the daily grind. Surrounded by willowy pine trees, the Dhauladhar mountain range of the Himalayas and filled with air that smells of the woods, Dalhousie is the kind of place you only see in your sweetest dreams. There are around 600 hotels in Dalhousie and most of them are just what a honeymooning couple needs. There are a lot of adventure activities like trekking, camping and rappelling that you can indulge in at Dalhousie, making this destination a must-visit for adventure enthusiasts. If not, the best way you can spend your time here is by taking long, peaceful strolls and exploring the town slowly while relishing the cool mountain air.
