Clothing:Heavy cotton and light woollen clothes during the winter months are just right for Alwar. The monsoon months experience sporadic rain so basic rain gear is good enough.

Moving around: You will find plenty of autorickshaws and taxis from the train station to the city centre. Also, you can hire bicycles on a rent of about Rs.70 per day.
