| Vijay Mallya, the owner of United Breweries group instigated what is known as the Kingfisher Airlines. Services commenced on 9th May2005 with 4 Airbus aircraft taken on lease. Vijay Mallya who also owns a beer brand by the same name launched Kingfisher Airlines with the aim of making it one of the best in the nation. It was the first airline in India to operate with all new aircrafts. There isn’t an ounce of doubt that Kingfisher Airlines today is easily the benchmark to many others in the airline service. |

Kingfisher Airlines based in Bangalore presently operates services only to domestic destinations like Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa, Chennai, Kolkatta, Ahmedabad, Mangalore and many others. Kingfisher airlines currently operate with 11 brand new aircrafts, 70 flights per day covering 16 key destinations in India.
