For a really great setting, head out to Beatles that's serves Goan dishes and pizza, accompanied by beer! The Ashok Hotel is another small restaurant serving some South Indian food including fresh fishes.

A particularly favourite place is the Coconut Groove Restaurant, whose specialty is the sizzling tiger prawns, as fresh as it gets! Try this, along with some Ginger Tea or chilled beer! Not just prawns, the restaurant displays its daily catch just before you enter it, so you can take your pick. Of course, considering its popularity, remember to pre-book, or get their early. Leela Kempinski's Terrace Restaurant is a fancy place to try out the elaborate buffet as you sit by the sea. Other top-end restaurant is at the Jeevan Ayurvedic Beach Resort that offers fresh well-cooked food accompanied by a great ambience. Kerala seafood is served at Garcia. Head out to German Bakery for some cakes and coffee. Try the different varieties of breads, including brown bread, sesame bread and whole grain. Their apple pie and banana muffins are particularly great! Fusion Restaurant is another place to head out to, if you are looking for the pepper-grilled fish, squid thoran and prawn curry.
