 Times Square
The most important commercial space in New York, the Times Square is located in the heart of Manhattan. Originally called the Longacre Square, it was renamed as Times Square when the New York Times moved to this place.  Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture which was gifted to the United States by the people of France. It has been installed on the Liberty Island in New York Harbor. It is a statue of Libertas, the Roman goddess of Freedom. The goddess bears a torch and a tablet of law. The date of the American Declaration of Independence is inscribed on it. A broken chain, symbolizing freedom, lies at her feet. |
