Glimpses of Europe - Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Paris
Paris is not only the capital of France but also of world fashion. Upon your arrival meet our experienced tour manager at the arrival hall. After checking in to the hotel, we proceed to visit the tallest building in Paris, the 210 m tall Montparnasse tower. The 56th floor observatory and roof-top terrace offers a 360 degree view of Paris. On a clear day, you can see up to 40 kms away. After sightseeing, proceed for an Indian dinner and head for an overnight stay at a hotel in Paris. (Dinner)
Day 2: Exploring Paris
Suggested: Optional Grand evening in Paris with Lido Show and illumination tour
After a continental breakfast in the hotel, proceed for a guided city tour of Paris which includes Arc de Triomphe, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Concorde Square, The Invalids, The Opera Garnier and the Champs Elysees. You will also visit the legendary Louvre Museum where you can see Louvre's two most famous ladies: the beguiling Mona Lisa and the armless Venus de Milo. In the evening, come face to face with Paris's biggest landmark, the Eiffel Tower. This is without doubt one of the most recognizable structures in the world. Gustave-Alexandre Eiffel, the French engineer whose fame rested mainly on his iron bridges, built it for the 1889 Universal Exhibition. You can climb up the 2nd level of the tower which offers a stunning view of the city. Later we proceed for a boat cruise on River Seine. After the boat cruise, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant. We now suggest a grand evening in Paris that includes, world famous Lido Show followed by an Illumination tour of Paris to see the famous landmarks of the city. At the end of the evening, return to your hotel for overnight stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3: Drive from Paris to Amsterdam via Brussels
After a continental breakfast, depart on our onward journey to Brussels. Upon arrival in Brussels, take a photo-stop at Manneken Pis Statue. This is followed by an orientation tour of Brussels city where you visit the world renowned Grand Place, Town Hall, Guild Houses, Serclaes Monument and thereafter, photo-stop at the Atomium-a 335 feet tall structure representing the concept of an iron molecule enlarged 165 billion times. Later we proceed to Amsterdam. This is the city of Golden Age art and picturesque canals, legal reefers and red lights, grand merchants' houses and a million bicycle bells. Just remember to always stop and smell the roses like the locals. Upon arrival in Amsterdam, proceed for famous canal cruise. Later enjoy a hot and sumptuous Indian dinner at an Indian restaurant and overnight stay at your hotel in Amsterdam / Hague area. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4: Amsterdam to Cologne and Heidelberg
After a continental breakfast, check-out and proceed to Lisse to visit the famous Keukenhoff Tulip Gardens (till May 18) or the miniature city of Madurodam (after May 18) 2013)-a world famous miniature city. It is a must-see place to get familiarized with all the surprising features Netherlands has to offer. Proceed to visit the Wooden & Cheese factory. After this, proceed for a scenic ride to Mannheim via Cologne. The chief attraction here is the Cologne Cathedral which is a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site. Later proceed to Mannheim. In the evening, it is time for dinner at an Indian restaurant. Your overnight stay remains at the hotel in the Mannheim/Heppenheim area. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5: Heidelberg-Black Forest-Schaffhausen-Engelberg
Post a delicious continental breakfast, check-out and proceed to Heidelberg for a photo-stop outside Heidelberg Castle. Later proceed to the Black Forest region. On your way, visit Drubba where you can see a demonstration of how cuckoo clocks are made. Later, leave for next stop at Schaffhausen. Here, capture memories at the Europe's biggest fresh water falls, the Rhine Falls and also take a boat ride . In the evening, enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant and stay overnight /Lucerne/Engelberg area. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6: Optional trip to Engelberg, Mt. Titlis and Lucerne

After a continental breakfast at the hotel, you have the day off to relax. You could, however, opt for a full day excursion to Mt. Titlis, the highest glacier destination and the biggest ski and snowboard paradise in central Switzerland. To get to Mt. Titlis, you need to pass through a series of three different cable cars. The view changes dramatically from lush green meadows in the lower reaches to permanently snow-clad upper areas. The cable cars, number ing at over 200 fly flags of various countries. Look out for cable car number 73 that carries the Indian flag! The last leg of the journey involves the world's first rotating cable car called the Titlis Rotair. At Mt. Titlis, you have free time to play and enjoy in the snow, visit the Ice Grotto or just relax at the restaurant. On the terrace on top of Mt. Titlis summit station, if weather permits, you could take an unforgettable ride on the Ice-Flyer, an enclosed ski lift that travels a few meters down the Titlis glacier. Next, we have kept the best for the last. Visit the 100-metre long, highest suspension bridge in Europe situated at more than 3,000 meters above sea level. The visit is topped off by a delicious Indian lunch at the summit. After the Mt Titlis experience, proceed for an orientation tour of Lucerne, one of the six most frequently visited cities in th e world. One of the most famous sights here is the Lion Monument, hewn from a limestone cliff to commemorate the bravery and loyalty of Swiss Guards. Take a stroll across the Kappelbruke, the world's oldest covered wooden bridge, originally built in 1333 over the River Reuss. Enjoy an Indian dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to you hotel in the Zurich/ Lucerne/Engelberg area for overnight stay.
Day 7: Depart from Zurich
After a continental breakfast at the hotel, check-out and proceed to Zurich Airport to board your flight for back home. (Breakfast)
